The Institute annually offers continuing education schools for county tax assessor-collectors, deputies and staff. These schools attract county officials from all areas of the state and are known for providing accurate, timely information and well respected speakers. Attendees earn accredited hours of continuing education that apply toward their required continuing education requirements.

The faculty and staff of the Institute work with the officers and education committees to plan relevant and effective educational programs.

In addition, the Institute serves as the educational sponsor for trainings and workshops throughout the year.

The V.G. Young Institute of County Government, a part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, offers the courses below as approved by the Tax Assessor-Collectors Association of Texas.

These online courses will be migrating to a new online learning platform on June 1, 2019.  Should you have any outstanding course vouchers or if courses need to be taken, please be sure to use them before this date.  Additionally, no bulk voucher purchases can be made after May 15, 2019.  Voucher credit will be lost if not used before transferring to the new platform.  Please contact the Institute if you have any questions, 979-845-4572.
